Welcome to the Normandy Elementary school website. As a staff, we believe that building relationships and communication clearly and frequently with our students, families and communities is essential in meeting the academic and affective needs of our students. It is a pleasure to work with a school community that has a strong tradition of working together to improve student achievement.
As a school community we stress the importance of maintaining a safe and nurturing environment so that our students can succeed. For the past ten+ years we have integrated PBIS, Positive Behavior Intervention Support, with our Bully-proofing Program. The mission of the Colorado school-wide PBIS Initiative is to establish and maintain effective school environments that maximize academic achievement and behavioral competence of all learners.
We encourage you to talk with your children about our school rules and expectations. Specifically, we must ensure that Normandy Elementary maintains a safe and positive school environment that is conducive to learning. We expect our students to wear their ARMOR each day, whereas they are:

Always Safe
Own It

The Normandy staff believes in an open-door policy. All of our families and the entire community is welcome when entering our school doors. Please feel free to contact your child's teacher, stop by the main office, or call us at (303) 982-4766 should you have questions or concerns.
